Second part of Cecilia's interview canned

The TV interview in which Cecilia Cheung broke her one-year silence to comment on Edison's sex photos scandal was well received by viewers.

In Cecilia Cheung's interview, she berated Edison for not doing enough to protect the actresses' embroiled in the leaked sex photos scandal. She implied he was dishonest and unreliable and a hypocrite who brought shame to the women involved in the scandal.

It was aired exclusively Hong Kong-based i-CABLE Entertainment News Channel.

There was to have been a second part to the interview, scheduled to be broadcasted yesterday evening, but plans for that have been put on hold indefinitely.

According to Hong Kong reports, there were possible reasons for the second part of the interview being cancelled.

One reason was pressure from family.

After the initial interview was aired, Cecilia's husband, Nicholas Tse was again put in the media spotlight. Her parents-in-law, Patrick Tse and Deborah Li were also unaware of the interview and have also put pressure on her to cancel the second interview, as they disapproved of having "dirty laundry" aired in public.

The next reason is that there has been a gag order to prevent Cecilia and the television network from proceeding to broadcast the second interview.

The third reason that since the first interview was well-received by viewers, directors and advertisers have been knocking on Cecilia's door to work with her. To prevent possibility that the next interview may go overboard and cause her to lose her growing popularity, she declined to continue with the interview.

i-CABLE Entertainment News Channel has said that cancelling the broadcast was out of respect for Cecilia and also to protect her interests.
