The wife: TV journalist Anne Sinclair, 60, recently professed her love for her cheating husband, International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn, on her blog.
The drama: Strauss-Kahn, 59, is under investigation for allegedly abusing his position after having a sexual relationship with former employee Piroska Nagy, who left with a payoff in August.
Second chance: Sinclair wrote on her blog: 'For my part, this one-night-stand is now behind us. We have turned the page. Can I add that we love each other as much now as when we first met.'
Lewinsky scandal
The wife: Former American First Lady Hillary Clinton stood by her husband Bill Clinton when their marriage was rocked by a high-profile scandal in the late 1990s.
The drama: White House intern Monica Lewinsky claimed she had a sexual relationship with the then president.
Second chance: In 1992, Hillary even went on air to demonstrate her support when cabaret singer Gennifer Flowers claimed she had had a 12-year affair with Clinton. She said in the interview: 'I'm sitting here because I love him and I respect him.'
Ex-minister caught with pants down
The wife: Although Datin Wong Sek Hin's husband embarrassed her with his widely circulated sex video in January, she says he is a good husband and father.
The drama: Her husband Dr Chua Soi Lek, a former health minister in Malaysia, was filmed having sex with a young woman in a hotel room.
Second chance: In June, Datin Wong, a former nurse, forgave him, saying: 'He's just a man. And every man has his moments of weakness.'
Ex-governor's sex tryst with hooker
The wife: Former corporate lawyer Silda Wall stood by her philandering husband, ex-New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, as he resigned from politics in disgrace this year.
The drama: In March, a federal wiretap picked up Spitzer arranging a tryst with a 22-year-old hooker named Ashley Alexandra Duprey at a Washington hotel.
Second chance: Two Fridays ago, Wall, who married Spitzer in 1987, was spotted with her husband on their 21st wedding anniversary at a Madison Avenue deli, having breakfast and sharing laughs.
US senator in gay scandal
The wife: Suzanne Craig, wife of senator Larry Craig, stood by her husband of 25 years during a gay scandal.
The drama: He was busted for allegedly propositioning a plainclothes police officer for sex at the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport last year.
Second chance: She played the role of a silent supporter as she walked hand-in-hand with her husband to a news conference in August last year.
Beckham's affairs
The wife: Ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is adamant that no scandal will rock her marriage to football star David Beckham.
The drama: He allegedly had affairs with his former personal assistant, Rebecca Loos, and Malaysia-born Australian model Sarah Marbeck in 2004. Both claimed they had slept with him.
Second chance: In 2004, Posh Spice was reported as saying: 'We have been through a lot worse than this.'

The wife: Coleen McLoughlin stuck with her childhood sweetheart, English footballer Wayne Rooney, despite his unfaithful ways.
The drama: He admitted visiting prostitutes, saying he was 'young and stupid' in 2004 after the Sunday Mirror claimed he visited massage parlours in Liverpool.
Second chance: She married Rooney in June this year on the Italian Riviera.
