Who says Fann Wong can't cut it as a singer?

When news broke last month that the 41-year-old MediaCorp actress was invited to represent Singapore at this year's Asia Song Festival by its organisers in Korea, netizens wondered if she was the right choice - especially since her last album was released in the 90s.

Wong ended up performing two songs live at the cultural exchange-cum-music event last Saturday and even nabbed the Best Asian Artist Award.

She said through her manager that she felt "honoured" to be able to perform alongside other "great Asian singers" like Yoga Lin, Kim Hyun Joong and MBLAQ.

The line-up included 13 other singers from countries such as Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan.
