It's not everyday you see a grown man go on bended knee in public to ask his beloved to marry him - but this brave soul did just that.
In the middle of a busy Orchard Road street, the chap waited to propose to his girlfriend with a bunch of flowers, a whole lot of balloons and a larger-than-life-sized bus stop ad that featured a picture of him holding up a sign that proclaimed "Will you marry me?" that turned the heads of a lot of passers-by.
According to a post in Stomp, she was the 'accomplice' who helped to make this very romantic proposal happen.
In an email sent tothe citizen journalism website on Apr 18, she wrote that "I am the colleague of the girl in the pictures, and my 'task' was to take her to this bus stop at Dhoby Ghaut.
"Her BF was waiting there beside a bus stop ad saying 'Will You Marry Me?' and with a bouquet of flowers in his hands.
"It was unexpected for my colleague, and she was stunned.
"Her BF had been planning this proposal for a month.
"If you think this only happens in TV dramas, think again!"
