This runway model is a runaway success, leagues ahead of her nearest rivals.

Forbes magazine has reported that Gisele Bundchen is the highest-paid model in the world with an earnings of a cool US$45 million (S$57 million).

The annual list, which was released on Thursday, covered models’ earnings from Maylast year toMaythis year.

The top 10 in the list had combined earnings of about US$100 million, New York Post reported.

The 31-year-old Brazilian bombshell’s earnings come from her contracts with Versace, Esprit and Pantene.

A distant second is British supermodel Kate Moss, 38, with estimated earnings of US$9.2 million, driven by lucrative deals with Topshop, Rimmel and Mango.

Rounding out the top trio is Russian Natalia Vodianova with US$8.6million. The 30-year-old mother of three is the face of perfume campaigns for Calvin Klein and Guerlain, and also designs her own clothing line.

Others in the list include Victoria’s Secret models – 31-year-old Brazilian Adriana Lima (US$7.3 million) and 27-year-old Dutch Doutzen Kroes (US$6.9 million).
