Boob and bum slips get the thumbs down
by SPH Razor

Side boob, under boob, bum slip and butt cleavage.

These female body parts have become increasingly visible, thanks to celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Miley Cyrus, and Rihanna, flashing them as if they were perfectly normal.

While Singaporean women aren't exactly prudes, they don't seem too keen on such exposure.

Four women told SPH Razor how they feel about the flesh parade:

"I don't think you have to show these kinds of parts of your bodies, because, some stuff just shouldn't be shown."

"I cannot imagine, it's like, you're going out there and people are staring at you, staring at your boobs, your butt, it's so weird!"

"I don't know, it's just, it's just not my style. I don't go that far"

"I guess they give an unrealistic view on like, what society considers beauty, because not everyone can achieve that."

The men, however, have mixed feelings about the revealing trend:

"It depends on the individual...I mean of course, if the body is nice, then definitely you can pull (sic) it off, but of course if you're not then it'll be, not a very nice sight, right?"

"Sexy, it's good to see the on the street, to us guys."

"Wearing such revealing stuff, it may come off the wrong way. They do objectify women, right, because when they show off all these body parts, it sort of sends the message that that's what women are about, about their bodies, but of course that's not true, that's not the most important thing."

While boob slips don't go down too well, the bum slip, which has been spotted here, doesn't seem to be doing too well either.

"I have schoolmates wearing like that, but I cannot take it, like you buy shorts that are too short for your butt.

"It's not very attractive, I mean, I don't really want to see their bums, so..."

It appears even if you've got it, doesn't mean you need to flaunt it.

Looks like the saying "less is more" doesn't necessarily apply, when you're talking about your hemline.
